mRemoteNG 1.71 Beta 4 Now Available

I've discovered an interesting issue that appears to have been introduced with Beta 4; RDP Gateways don't seem to work any longer.

I have several connections set to use an RDP gateway; and under Beta 3 it worked exactly as intended/advertised. With Beta 4, when I try to connect to the host MRemoteNG reports that it can't find the computer 'hostname of server'. The hostname isn't externally resolvable but it is resolvable to the RDP Gateway.

It looks like it's testing for connectivity before hitting the RDP gateway.

Thank you for the great mremote tool which I use it daily.

I tested the 1.71 Beta 4 yesterday. It seems that the %Name% in external tool will return something like "\string\" instead of the original "string" on 1.69.

I use the %Name% to run some CScript VBS code to modify the putty registry key for log file name to use the session name instead of the IP addresses before the session is started. If this can be done in puttyNG, that'll be great. But it's ok at present since my external tool can do this job. Yesterday in the beginning the script can work while I was debugging them, but after some time, the SCript cannot be executed with error "not enough storage is available to complete this operation" even just after I rebooted the PC. So I had to change back the mremote to 1.69, and the same script/external tool can then work well. You may need to look into it if you have time.

Another feature I was looking for putty is to show a prompt window asking for session log file name. Sometimes it will be convenient to set the log file name when a duplicated session is started.

I concur with dsolodow, connections through Terminal Services Gateway no longer function in 1.71b4 in either `Always` or `Detect` modes. Being 98% of my connections use a gateway in `Detect` mode, I was forced to revert to 1.70. Also, I didn't see where to disable auto-resizing re: MR-459.

I know SQL isn't a priority, but upgrading from Beta3 to Beta 4 leaves me with this on "save connection file."

More on the sql.

Looks like Beta4 needs two new columns (LoadBalanceInfo and AutomaticResize). However creating the columns will not resolve the issue because a bug in the code is mashing two inherit columns in the insert statement into one string.

I don't have any more time to mess with this tonight but might tomorrow. rmcardle let me know if you want to enter a JIRA bug for this, I'm happy to. I don't know what the protocol is on the project for bug reporting beta/sql stuff.

There are fewer columns in the INSERT statement than values specified in the VALUES clause. The number of values in the VALUES clause must match the number of columns specified in the INSERT statement.
