Certificate Error with HTTPS

Postby kwatkins » Thu Aug 04, 2016 9:19 am

I created an HTTPS connection to a Linux web server using IE. Whenever I launch the link in mRemoteNG I get an error informing me that the certificate is not trusted. Typically (and with older versions of mRemote) there is a link that allows me to continue to the webpage, however, this option no longer exists. I installed mRemoteNG 1.74 and I can no longer continue to these webpages. What am I missing?

**EDIT: for now I am having it launch in an external browser (which is working just fine), but it would be nice if I could utilizing it withing mRemote.

Have you tried both rendering engines (IE and Gecko)?

Just signed up to say that this is happening for us too. I have attached a screenshot of the issue. This is regardless of using the full URL or removing the http/s part.

I am new to mRemoteNG but I love it, I just wish this issue would go away! I have heard that older versions don't have this issue?

-dmsparer, yes we have tried using both rendering engines and still get the same issue.

Hi, I've forgot to say, that you need to restart mRemoteNG for this to work. If you've already done that, please verify that the paths are correct, and both cert_override.txt files exists.

That definitely got me closer, thank you. The issue presenting itself now is it is not populating the username and password. Are you having that issue as well?

Hi, Well I'm not a mRemoteNG expert but I'm pretty sure that HTTP/S login and password fields will only work with a http auth based authentication, that most of today WebGUIs do not use.

I've tried with an http WebGUI and it is not populating neither so I think that is the expected behavior
