Adding external shell support like Console2 or ConEmu

I have start learning VB.net programming in order to attempt to add functionality to allow external shells like MinGW, GitBash, Cygwin, Command Prompt, and Power shell so that there is just one program running these programs and not a lot of other icons showing. If there is something like this already, could someone point me in the right direction? I kind of got Console2 to work as an external tool, but it was not displaying properly.
